Michael Durbridge to captain 1st grade in 2014/15

It is with great pleasure that we can announce the captain on the Queens 1st grade team for the 2104/15 season will be Michael Durbridge.

This will be the third season at the club for Michael, after a highly successful career with the Gold Coast Dolphins, during which time he contributed greatly to premiership victories, represented Queensland 2nd X1 and was named in the “Best Ever” Dolphins Team.

Michael is eagerly awaiting the start of the season, and our top team is certainly in good hands with him at the helm.

Michael has taekn over from Nick Brzozowski, who was cpatain for the past 2 seasons. Without Nick’s hard work, dedication and fantastic club spirit it would have been a lot harder for that team to go through the season undefeated and ensure we move back into the top grade. We hope Nick is able to get his body back into shape soon, so we can see him back out on the cricket field where he belongs.

Queens Cricket Club thanks Nick for the great job he has done, and wishes Michael the best of luck for the coming season.
